This is the very beginning of the online course I am taking on Running Contacts with Daisy Peel. I am posting because of Daisy's comments about Vettel's running style. It is definitely unique!
Daisy's comments:
I want the dogs to run with their feet split up, just like your dog is doing in that video. Your dog is actually an interesting case; he runs with his head up, but when you look in slow motion, although he seems a little bouncy, his feet are clearly split up. With some dogs, you can watch their top line, to decide if they are jumping or not, and you hardly have to watch their feet. You will have to watch his feet, as if you watch his topline, you may think he’s jumping, but clearly he is not.

Vettel's Agility Training
Vettel turned a year, and so we started a little agility training. He came to me loving tunnels, thanks to Grandma Lisa. I spent about ten minutes on jump stations, and then started sequencing to tunnel. This is his first official agility training video. He is just so darn cute - and looks just like Papa Etti!

Vettel's First Christmas
Vettel spent his first Christmas in Phoenix, Arizona at our son's house, and he got to play with his favorite playmate, Jubilee who is my son's dog. Unfortunately, we did not take any pictures of the two of them playing. We went to the dog park in Phoenix, and hung out on the couch watching movies. It was fun, and the dogs also got a few bites of Christmas dinner.

First RV Trip
November 8-12, 2011
Vettel went on his first RV trip, and he loves that mode of transportation. We went to Silver City, New Mexico and stayed at the KOA in town. They had a small dog park, and trails to walk behind the camp grounds.
One day we drove to Rock City where rock formations were formed by volcanoes from far away. Vettel and Salsa enjoyed the walks.
We also visited the Cat Walk where bridges had been built through a canyon for miners. It was truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Vettel was all too happy to have Mom carry him over the bridges which were all various textures. He walked all the other parts of the trail and was a little trooper.
In the RV we played the two toy game:
